The Policy Innovation Research Unit (PIRU) was set up in 2011 with funding from the Department of Health for a five year programme of work to improve evidence-based policy-making and its implementation across the National Health Service, social care and public health.
The NIHR Diagnostic Evidence Co-operative London is a partnership between Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and Imperial College London. The overall aim of the DEC is to develop world-class methods, generate evidence and integrate in vitro diagnostics into clinical practice.
The Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care (CLAHRC) for Northwest London is a five year improvement programme designed to accelerate health research into patient care, funded by the National Institute for Health Research.
The Health and Care Infrastructure Research and Innovation Centre (HaCIRIC) was set up in 2006 with funding from EPSRC to support better healthcare through better infrastructure. The programme formally ended in November 2013.
